NPFL Update: Osadiaye Admits Enyimba’s Title Defence Is Intact

Published on: 05 August 2016

Enyimba forward  Joseph Osadiaye believes the side’s title defence is still intact despite the goalless draw against Sunshine Stars.

“We are on the right path to successfully defend our league title. The title hope is on course despite the two successive home draws to Enugu Rangers and Sunshine Stars. We are confident of getting it right in the remaining make-up matches as well as other matches on the calendar.

“We did everything possible to win the clash against Sunshine Stars but found ourselves in a difficult position to score as two goals were disallowed by the referee. We are still happy to have picked up a point in the clash’ it would have been worse to have forfeited all three points.

“Sunshine Stars did not trouble us throughout the game and I think they will be the happiest side going home with a point. I still believe that our title aspiration is very much alive; nobody should lose sleep over it,” said the former Warri Wolves marksman.
