A scintillating climax it was to the Nigeria Premier Football League match day 24 fixture between Sporting Lagos and Remo Stars as the Lagos trashed their fellow South West club on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Noisy Lagosians handed the Sky Blue Stars their biggest defeat in recent times, to triumphing 4-1 and winning the Southwest bragging rights in the derby played at the Onikan Stadium in Lagos.

Junior Lokosa started the rout from the penalty spot on 4 minute after Godwin Odibo was brought down by a Remo Stars defender in the box.

Ossy Martins almost brought the game to equilibrium, but his effort was cleared off the line by Captain Saluudeen Aliu on 17 minute.

In the 27th minute, Paschal Durugbor benefited from a defensive error to steal the ball off the feet of goalkeeper Kayode Bankole and put the ball into an empty net.

Remo Stars reduced the deficit 9 minutes later after Sodiq Ismail's powerful cross was diverted into his own net by Salaudeen Aliu as the first half ended 2-1.

The hosts at the resumption of hostilities, picked up things from where they left as  Philip Odubia restored Sporting's two-goal lead with an eye-catching bicycle kick 3 minutes into the half.

The home side were 3 goals up after Isaac Annor's cross was turned in for an own goal in the half hour mark, ensuring they take 3 points and move to 12th on the log with 31 points while Remo Stars are 5th with 39 points.
