NPFL: Shooting Stars vow to bounce back against Enyimba

Published on: 08 October 2024

Shooting Stars defender, Gali Falke insists the team is fully focused on their next game against Enyimba, following two consecutive Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) defeats, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Oluyole Warriors will host nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba at the Lekan Salami Stadium in Ibadan on Sunday.

Falke acknowledged the disappointment of recent losses but promised a strong response.

"We are deeply sorry for the two defeats. We tried our best to get something, but unfortunately, it didn't go our way," the right-back told the club's media.

"Come Sunday, we are promising our supporters and fans victory against Enyimba."

Falke believes the painful losses in Benin and Lafia will serve as motivation.

"The losses will ginger us on Sunday against Enyimba, and we will not disappoint our teeming fans."

Manager Gbenga Ogunbote's side is under pressure to deliver against Enyimba.

A win would revitalize Shooting Stars' season and ease pressure on the team after their away defeat to Lobi Stars last weekend.
