Remo Stars moved within reach of leaders, Rangers International in the Nigeria Premier Football League table after a win over Rivers United on Monday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Sky Blue Stars came from behind to pip the Pride of Rivers 2-1 in the NPFL matchday 21 rescheduled game at the Remo Stars Stadium and secure first win over the 2022 league winners since 2017.

The second half saw the Remo Stars continue their search for an equaliser, but it Rivers who had the chance to double the lead as an error at the back by Remo allowed Mark Gibson to have a go at goalkeeper Bankole who save after two attempts on 66 minute.
Remo however got the equaliser 2 minutes later after Haruna Hadi tapped home a low cross by Togolese substitute, Franck Mawuena.
Mawuena turned goalscorer on 83 minute after nodding home a corner kick by Adams Olamilekan.
The win means Remo Stars remain perfect at home this with 100 percent win and are now a point adrift Rangers International.
