Remo Stars maintained their perfect form to the beginning of the 2024/2025 Nigeria Premier Football League season with a win against Kano Pillars in Katsina, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Sky Blue Stars defeated the Sai Masu Gida side 2-0 at the Muhammad Dikko Stadium to return to the top of the league table on Sunday.

A goal in both half by Sodiq Ismail and Franck Mawuena crumbled Pillars in the NPFL match day three encounter.

An end to end affair saw both sides create chances, but no goal came until Ismail broke the deadlock with a fine finish after 26 minute.

Kano Pillars pushed for an equaliser, but to no avail as the Ikenne based side head into the tunnel with the 1-0 lead.

In the second half, Remo doubled their lead through Mawuena after the one hour mark as the tie ended with the 2-0 scoreline.

The result returns Remo Stars to the top of the log with 9 points while Kano Pillars slip to fifth with 4 points.
