Gombe United goalkeeper, Itodo Akor believes he can surpass the record for the goalie with the most clean sheet in the league despite having lesser games due to the abridged season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
Adewale Adeyinka has the record of the most clean sheets (16) in the NPFL which he set in Akwa United’s title winning season in 2021.
Akor who recorded his sixth clean sheet of the season in their 1-0 win against El- Kanemi Warriors in their matchday 13 fixture believes with “consistency and hardwork,” he will achieve the feet even though he agreed the height is difficult to attain.
“It will be difficult to beat the record of the most clean sheet this season,” he told DAILY POST
“With hard work and consistency, I can achieve that feat no doubt.
Meanwhile, Remo Stars kayode Bankole top the chart for the most cleansheet with seven this season.
