NPFL: Mbaoma and five others in contention for February Player of the Month

Chijioke Mbaoma of Enyimba, Godsgift Elkanah representing Bayelsa United, Ibrahim Mustapha from Kano Pillars, Nenrot Silas of Plateau United, Nyima Nwagua hailing from Rivers United, and Tochukwu Michael of Sporting Lagos have been shortlisted for Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Player of the Month award for February, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Mbaoma showcased his prowess by scoring three crucial goals for Enyimba during the month, elevating his season tally to eleven.

Elkanah played a pivotal role in Bayelsa United's flawless run, contributing to their three wins in February.

Mustapha continued to impress for Kano Pillars, adding to his goal tally which now stands at seven for the season.

Silas left a mark with a goal in Plateau United's dominant 5-1 victory over Heartland in Awka.

Michael, dubbed one of the top signings of the mid-season transfer window, made significant contributions to Sporting Lagos, finding the net three times since joining from Remo Stars.
