The matchday four of the Nigeria Professional Football league (NPFL) presents to local football fan se interesting fixtures, two of which include the Niger Tornadoes v Enugu Rangers and Eyimba v Kwara United.
After a 2-0 defeat to Rivers United in the mid week, the Tornadoes will need a quick response to show return to their good start to the season.
The miners under coach Abubakar Bala have been a mix of grit and pace, with Idris Munir being one of their reliable legs.
Rangers on the other hand are a struggling team with one draw and two defeats. Traveling to play at the far away north in recent times have been ended in disappointment for the visitors losing all of the last four visits to any team in the north.
Coach Salish Yusuf needs to prove why he’s one of the most experience managers in the league, their players need to make a big statement and they need to do that now against Niger Tornadoes.
Despite their poor start to the season, Rangers can take inspiration from their head to head record against their host. The Cathedral based team have 3 wins and 4 draws in their last 9 meetings. However, their run of unimpressive results leave their fans in doubt.
Meanwhile in group A, Eyimba will welcome Kwara United to what will be an interesting clash on Sunday.
Both teams have no major advantage over the other as the share two wins from their last four meetings.
A win for Kwara May look unrealistic away from home but some NPFL results this season has proven other.
