Shooting Stars Sports Club of Ibadan have booked their place in the quarter final of the Nigeria Premier Football League LaLiga U-15 Promise tournament after defeating Gombe United, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The young Warriors beat the Junior Savannah Scorpions by two second half goals to nil to ensure second victory of the tournament.
After a one nil win over the Junior Flying Antelopes of Rangers in their first match, 3SC couldn't break the Gombe side in the first half.
However, the goals came towards the end of the tie as Basit Jimoh gave the lead from the penalty spot in the 54th minutes.
Shooting Stars doubled their lead in the space of two minutes from Mohammed Sanni in the group D encounter.
With the win, the Ibadan side have six points and will be one of the qualifiers from the group as El Kanemi Warriors have garnered four points while Rangers have a point and Gombe have no point.
