Play was stopped before full time during the Nigeria Professional Football League match between Ikorodu United and Shooting Stars at the Onikan Stadium, Lagos after the home fans disrupted the game following the visitors’ equalising goal.
Ajani Ibrahim struck two minutes from time as to equalise for 3SC after Chinedu Onyelonu had put Ikorodu United ahead in the 25th minute.
The Onikan fans apparently felt the goal should not have stood and they stormed the pitch to disrupt proceedings.
Attempts to get the match restarted failed and it was abandoned due to crowd trouble.
Incidentally, 3SC’s other match in Lagos this season against MFM was also marred by crowd trouble. credit: completesportsnigeria
