The newly appointed acting chairman of Kano Pillars, Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima, has pledged to settle the outstanding match bonuses owed the players and officials of the club.

The former NFA chairman made the pledge yesterday when he addressed players and technical crew of the club during their morning training at the Sani Abacha stadium Kofar-mata in Kano.

Galadima who doubles as Chairman Kano State Sports Commission said he was at the training ground to address the players and officials to motivate them ahead of their remaining matches in the 2022 NPFL season.

He said in order to motivate them to win their remaining three matches which will guarantee their stay in the topflight next season, he was going to pay their five matches outstanding bonuses.

“I know there are problems militating against the team but put it behind you and do the needful in the remaining matches as the government is solidly behind you,” said Galadima.

“I will do everything humanly possible to ensure that all your outstanding entitlements are paid promptly to enable you to concentrate on the task ahead,” he added.

Galadima who founded the ‘Sai masu gida’ in 1990 commended the government of kano State and teeming fans of the club for their financial, moral and spiritual support and urged them to sustain the tempo.

Responding, the Technical Adviser, Salisu Yusuf, congratulated Galadima on his well deserved appointment and promised that the team won’t let down the government and people of Kano State at the end of the season.

It would be recalled that on Wednesday, June 29, Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje sacked Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya ‘Jambul’ and appointed Alhaji Ibrahim Galadima chairman of Kano Pillars on acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive chairman.
