NPFL: Enyimba, Doma United hit with fine for breach of framework

Reigning champions and 9-time winners of the Nigeria Premier Football League, Enyimba and Doma United have been given varying fines for breaching the league's framework in their match day 23 fixture in Aba, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The People's Elephant were fined 7m naira, stadium closure for 3 matches for not providing adequate and effective security in the course of the match leading to poor crowd control and unauthorised persons gaining access to restricted area.

The Aba giants got 1 million naira fine for failing to provide adequate security, 1 million for encroachment into the field and "5 million for disruption of a live broadcast."

Doma United were hit with 2 million naira fine for "misconduct capable of bringing the game into disrepute" and general misconduct & failure to ensure proper conduct of their players and officials.

Enyimba and Doma have 48 hours within the date of notice of the sanctions to appeal.
