NPFL: Enyimba dismantle Kano Pillars to go second

Defending champions, Enyimba got their title challenge back on track with a big statement win over Kano Pillars in the Nigeria Premier Football League matchday 28 encounter on Wednesday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The People's Elephant were too much to handle for the Sai Masu Gida side as they ran riot at the Enyimba International Stadium with a 5-0 win.

A complete dominance saw the hosts up as early as the 13th minute as Eze Ekwutoziam put the Aba giants ahead from a rebound the goalkeeper saved a ball from Atule.

The lead was doubled on 35 minute as league top scorer, Chijioke Mbaoma scored his 13th of the season after perfectly rounding up the keeper and slotting into the net from an assist by Ekwutoziam.

In form, Joseph Atule solidified the lead with a header at the end of the first half with Enyimba's third on 44 minute.

The former Lobi Stars player scored his second of the game and Enyimba's fourth after a left footed strike in the box on 69 minute.

Substitute Alade Muyiwa put the icing on cake for a rampaging Enyimba after 3 minutes of added time as the league big boys moved back to second, 3 points adrift Rangers International on the log.
