Dakkada FC continued their push for survival on Wednesday evening as they beat Abia Warriors 2-1 in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League game played at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium Uyo, nigeria soccernet.com can report.

Dakkada whose season hasn't gone as planned needed the win to boost their hopes of playing topflight football next season and they did just that.

Aniekan Ekpe in the 11th minute gave Dakkada the lead from the penalty spot, sending Abia Warriors goalkeeper Pius Ibrahim the wrong way.

Godwin Obaje pulled the visitors level five minutes after from the penalty spot but Edidiong  Ezekiel with a minute left on the regular time ensured the host pick the maximum points when he scored winner.

Abia Warriors  Umeh Gozie was shown a red card in the 70th minute as the visitors ended the game with a man less.

Dakkada FC are 19th on the log with the win, and having played a game lesser than some of their fellow relegation contenders, the Uyo based team could move out of the drop zone should they win in Gombe on Sunday.
