Yemi, who clinched the 2023 Nigeria Premier Football League title with Enyimba, commenced his coaching journey with Magate FC before moving on to the now-defunct Mountain of Fire and Miracle Football Club.
While head coach, Finidi George was with the Super Eagles as part of the technical crew to the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, coach Yemo (as called by close allies) took chances of the coaching crew Enyimba winning three and drawing one of seven league games.
Yemi in anicipation towards the task ahead expressed on Social media his commitment to enhancing his coaching expertise and obtaining the appropriate certification, emphasizing the importance of continuous learning in preparing for future opportunities and challenges.
