Daniel Ogunmodede, the head coach of Remo Stars, commended his players for their resilience following their home win against Bendel Insurance on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Sky Blue Stars bounced back from last week's defeat to South West rivals, Shooting Stars, by securing a 2-0 victory over Insurance at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne.
Ogunmodede's side climbed to third position on the table with this win, maintaining their pursuit of the league title. Despite being three points behind leaders Rangers and having an outstanding game, Remo Stars remain in contention for their first Nigeria Premier Football League title.
Reflecting on the match against Insurance, the coach emphasized his focus on securing three points in every game, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of football.
In a post-match interview, he stated, "Every game comes with a different situation and different moments. Maybe in the last three games it was like this. That is what the game entails. Most times you have no control over these things. The players have shown that they are key determinants in the game."

He also highlighted the significance of bouncing back from their previous loss to 3SC, stating, "Coming from a ground where we lost to 3SC the last time, you know how painful this could be to us and the players want to get back to their winning ways. For me, they were a little bit under pressure. The most important thing is how they deal with the pressure which they did well."
