In a message to Doma United Chairman Alhaji Suleiman Umar, Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) Chairman Hon Gbenga Elegbeleye expressed his condolences on behalf of the league's board and management, Nigeriasoccernet.com gathered.
He emphasized relief that no lives were lost in the recent accident involving the Doma United contingent traveling back from their match in Owerri.
The Gombe-based club's bus reportedly skidded off the road due to heavy rain along the Makurdi-Lafia road.
"The NPFL stands with Doma United during this challenging time," said Elegbeleye.
"We offer our thoughts and prayers for a speedy and complete recovery to the injured players and staff. We hope to see them back on the field soon".
"While we are grateful for no loss of life, the safety of all teams and fans remains a priority for the league as the season progresses."
