Published on: 29 January 2025

Bendel Insurance has bolstered its squad with 11 new players as they prepare for the remainder of the 2024-25 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.

The reinforcements come as the team aims to strengthen its performance in the highly competitive league.

The new arrivals include Arinze Ogbonna, Olawale Samson, Amietimi Enewarikpemi, Richards Christopher, Ini Edem, Mdasira Ramson, Solomon Okpako, Osahon Osoboh, Promise Harrison, Vincent Akpikpi, Abel James.

Several of the new signings arrive from top NPFL clubs. Ogbonna joins from Lobi Stars, while Christopher and Okpako make the switch from Akwa United. Osoboh arrives from Sunshine Stars, and Harrison strengthens the squad after leaving Enyimba.

Akpikpi was recruited from Nigeria National League (NNL) side Warri Wolves, while Samson, Enewarikpemi, and Ramson were signed from lower-tier Nationwide League One (NLO) clubs—Tradesafe FC, Grassrunners, and Ibadan United, respectively.

Edem and James, meanwhile, join as free agents, bringing experience and depth to the squad.

Bendel Insurance will put their new signings to the test on Wednesday when they take on Rivers United in a crucial NPFL midweek fixture in Port Harcourt.
