Gombe United head coach, Aliyu Zubairu is calling the fans to come out in numbers to lend their support to the team ahead of the matchday 13 tie against El-Kanemi Warriors in the Nigeria Professional Football League, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Savannah Scorpions are currently seventh on the league table with 14 points and will go everything to abound going down.
So as they welcome El-Kanemi Warriors this weekend to the Pantami Township Stadium, Zubairu said the players are fully ready for the battle ahead but urged the fans to play their part in cheering them as they seek to navigate through the business end of the campaign.
“Gombe United needs the support of the fans more this time around as the season enters its final stages,” he told Daily Post.
“The players are ready for the battle ahead but the fans need to support them to go through the battle.”
