NPFL: Akwa United poor run continue as Bayelsa United hold Kano Pillars in Kano

Akwa United for the third consecutive match could not get a win after they played Abia Warriors while Kano Pillars failed to win at home against Bayelsa United on Sunday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Promise Keepers lost against Abia Warriors at the Umuahia Township Stadium 2-0 courtesy of goals from Antoine Ijoma and Samuel Ogunjimi.

Ijioma opened the score in the 26th of the encounter for the Warriors before Ogunjimi sealed the win at additional time after 90 minutes of action.

There was nothing to choose in Kano Pillars for the Sai Masu Gida side as they played a goalless draw while visiting Bayelsa United at the Sani Abacha Stadium.

Nasarawa United got back to winning way with a 2-0 win over Niger Tornadoes courtesy of Anas Yusuf.

Yusuf opened the score in the 3rd minutes of the game from the spot before doubling the lead in the 72nd minute.

In Jos, Shooting Stars Sports Club continued their fine form getting a point from Plateau United.

The hosts came from behind to get the point after 3Sc's Tijani Kabir broke the deadlock in the 76th minute before Albert Hillary equalised in the  78th minute.
