3SC veteran defender Waheed Omololu believes the Ibadan based club can achieve a top three finish in the NPFL as they eye continental football for next season, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Oluyole Warriors have been in sublime form since the second phase of the league began and that has boosted confidence in the camp of the team.
Omololu rued his side’s loss to relegation threatened Heartland FC but reckons it is still an achievable feat to finish in a continental spot.
"It was a match we had hoped to win to further enhance our push for the league title and a top three finish, but it didn't go our way.” He told the club media.
"That's football for you. You win, draw or lose but I'm optimistic we will bounce back to winning ways on Sunday when we host Sunshine Stars.”
"We must put that defeat behind us and focus on the remaining games with the sole aim of winning those games, which is quite possible," added 'skippo' as he is fondly called.
He went on to commend the state Governor and the fans of the club far and wide as he urges the team to finish the season strong which would serve as a perfect reward for the people.
"For all these, I think we deserve something rewarding at the end of the season, to appreciate our number one supporter, the Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency, Engineer Seyi Makinde and the good people of this state as well as our fans across the globe.” Concluded the experienced defender.
