The Nigeria Football Federation has assured Super Eagles interim coach, Samson Siasia,  that there is no plan, for now,  to hire a foreign coach to take over the senior national team job from him.

General Secretary of the NFF, Dr. Mohammed Sanusi, who disclosed this on Monday stated that Siasia was saddled with the responsibility of beating Egypt to the AFCON ticket, adding that the federation has absolute trust in the former Nigeria international striker to successfully  lead the Super Eagles to Gabon.

"We have absolute trust in Siasia  to deliver, and we are giving him all the support to ensure that we achieved our target which to qualify for AFCON. We are not thinking of replacing him for now and we are not discussing with any coach as at this moment. Siasia was with me this morning and I assured him that his job is safe and not threatened," Sanusi  said.
