NNL To commence On 3rd March

The Nigeria National League (NNL) 2022/2023 Season To Kick-Off On 3rd March 2023 according to news coming from the Annual General Assembly (AGA) of the league, Nigeriasoccernet.com has gathered.

AGA and retreat held on Friday in Abuja which had club administrators in attendance served as a precursor to league kick off.

Eight clubs from the Nationwide League One (NLO) were promoted to the Nigeria National League.

The eight promoted teams are two Lagos-based sides, Smart FC and Madiba FC. Two clubs from Abuja, are Hype buzz FC and Mailantarki Care FC.

Aspire FC, FC One Rocke, Police Barretta, and FC Ebedei are based in Anambra, Akwa-Ibom, Gombe, and Ogun states, respectively.

While four clubs from the Nigeria Premier League were relegated to the NNL last season.

Kano Pillars, Heartland of Owerri, Katsina United, and Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) lost their status in the NPFL last season.
