NNL Super 8: Beyond Limit edge Madiba to kickoff on a high

Beyond Limit FC started their 2024 Nigeria National League, NNL Super 8 campaign with a slim victory over Madiba FC on Saturday, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The Ikenne based side defeated the Lagos side 2-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu after goals from Olamilekan Adegboyega and Kparobo Arierhi.

After an end to end affair for half an hour, the deadlock was broken after Ganiyu Adio shot hit the upright before Olamilekan Adegboyega hit home the rebound on 34 minute.

The first phase of the intriguing match ended 1-0 with beyond Limit with the advantage heading to the dressing room.

The second half kicked off fine for Beyond Limit with Kparobo Arierhi calmly slotting home a Farouq Ogundare’s through ball for the second goal on 56 minute.

The boys from Oshodi pulled one back 10 minutes to the end of the game, but the comeback did not come as it ended 2-1 and first three points for the Ogun State side.

The win takes Beyond Limit top of the Southern Conference after Ikorodu City and InterLagos FC share spoils in the second game of the group.
