NNL second round resumption date put forward

The  2022/2023 Nigeria National League, NNL second round resumption date has been shifted according to a release on Thursday from the league body, Nigeriasoccernet.net reports.

The second stanza which was to resume on the 26th of April has now been put forward to the 28th, 29th and 30th of April.

This is due to the Federation Cup round of 64 draw held on Wednesday by the Nigeria Football Federation were 23 NNL teams will be part of.

"Sequel to the round of 64 Federation Cup fixtures released yesterday which feature 23 NNL clubs, it has become necessary to move the 2022/2023 2nd round resumption date to 28th, 29th and 30th April, 2023 as may be applicable," the letter from the NNL to all state FAs and clubs read.

The letter further read "please note that further adjustments might be made subsequently in order to end the league on 20th May, 2023 as contained in the last league fixtures released.".

It ended by urging clubs to end all mid-season registration on or before the 27th of April, 2023 based on the above notice.
