Nine-time NPFL champions Enyimba overhaul squad with 13 departures

Nigerian Professional Football League (NPFL) giants Enyimba have announced a significant squad overhaul, with 13 players departing the club, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

The list of departures includes club captain Ojo Olorunleke, Ikenna Cooper and striker Chijioke Mbaoma.

Others are Desmond Ojietefian, Chigozie Chilekwu, Ngomere Chisom, Anthony Okachi, Chibuike Nwaiwu, James Orasonye, George Owen and MacBen Otika

In a statement, Enyimba expressed gratitude to the outgoing players for their dedication and contribution to the club's success.

The Aba-based team has moved swiftly to replace the departed stars with new signings, ahead of their opening game against Beyond Limits in the new season.

The comprehensive squad revamp is seen as a strategic move by Enyimba to revitalize their team and maintain their competitive edge in the NPFL.

With nine league titles to their name, the club will be seeking to build on their legacy and make a strong start to the new campaign.
