Nigerian International Nwakaeme joins Angers

French Ligue 1 side, Angers SC, have signed Nigerian striker, Dickson Nwakaeme, to a one-year deal, the club have announced.

Nwakaeme, 29, made the move from Malaysian side, Pahang and will wear the colours of the French side for the 2016/17 season.

The striker, who was also on the radar of clubs in Turkey and Malaysia, will make a return to Europe after spending three seasons in Asia with Song Lam Nghe FC in Vietnam and spells with Selangor and Pahang in the Malaysian Super League.

The bulky forward has also played for Aalborg in Denmark and also with Finnish sides, Oulun Pallo and KuPS football clubs.

Dickson Nwakaeme comes from a football family. His brother Anthony, plays for Israeli Ligat HaAl champions, Hapoel Beer Sheva.
