Arab Contractors have had a busy summer as they wanted to improve on their ninth-placed finish last season.

After handing head coach Emad El-Nahas a new contract, they have signed the likes of Mohamed Talaat, Mamadou Niass, Emad Fathi, Omar Bassam, and Oussema Romdhani.

As the summer Egyptian transfer window was coming to an end, they completed two further signings in Nigeria’s John Okoli, Ahmed Magdy from Wadi Degla.

Okoli, 24, joins from Bengali club Saif Sporting on a free transfer, having scored 17 goals and assisted five in 22 games in the Bangladesh Premier League last season, sitting third in the top-scoring charts.

Ahead of his time in Asia, Okoli had several spells in Cyprus with Yenicami AK, Gönyeli SK, and Göcmenköy IYSK and with Nigerian club MFM FC.

Meanwhile, Magdy is a 32-year-old right-back who represented the likes of Petrojet, Ittihad of Alexandria, Belgian club KFC Turnhout, and Iraqi giants Al-Shorta SC during his career.

He was regular with Wadi Degla last season, assisting twice in games; however, couldn’t help the club avoid relegation and therefore moved to Arab Contractors.
