English Championship side QPR are no longer the sole option for Nigeria Under-17 star Abdulrazak Ishaq, with reports of Southampton joining the chase for the highly rated teen.
Ishaq was a part of the Nigeria Under-17 team that failed to qualify for next year Africa Youth Championship, after losing 2-3 on aggregate to Niger Republic.
The Unity Academy prospect, who was among the shining stars of the ill fated squad, dazzled a scout of QPR in Abuja who kept on asking about the kid in jersey number 11.
Fortunately, Ishaq nicknamed “Golden Boy” was the kid in shirt number 11. But any thought of them snapping up the teen wonder has been made tough following Southampton interest in the midfield maestro.
A decision on where he will end up will most likely be taken before the end of this month, as he is reportedly set to travel to England to meet with his prospective employers in November.
