Following his side’s impressive 2-0 away victory against Kano Pillars, Niger Tornadoes head coach Mohammed Bala has revealed that his primary objective for the season is to secure a continental ticket, reports Nigeriasoccernet.com.
The win, achieved at the Muhammadu Dikko Stadium, extended the Ikon Allah Boys’ unbeaten run to four matches and lifted them to second place on the NPFL table with 17 points.
Speaking after the match, Mohammed praised his players for their determination and consistency, while outlining the team’s ambition for the campaign.
“Our target for the season is to clinch one of the continental tickets,” Mohammed said in his post-match interview.
“We have a squad good enough to achieve that goal, provided we remain consistent and avoid injuries.”
The Minna-based side will now look to maintain their fine form when they host Abia Warriors in their next Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) fixture.
