NFF Promise Super Falcons $10k Each if they beat South Africa

Nigeria’s Super Falcons have been promised a winning bonus of $10,000 each should they beat the Banyana Banyana of South Africa in Saturday’s final of the 2018 African Women’s Nations Cup.

Defending champions, Super Falcons, will look to retain the title when they face the Banyana Banyana at the Accra Sports Stadium.

“Each player has been promised a whopping $10,000 winning bonus by the Nigeria Professional Football Federation should they beat the South Africans, ” Super Falcons Media Officer, Jane Nweze disclosed to CSN from Accra on Friday.

“It is a way of motivating the players and hopefully they will get the job done on the pitch on Saturday and bring the trophy home once again.

“We are all looking forward to the game. The players are in high spirit and we can’t wait to step on the pitch tomorrow.”

The Super Falcons will look to avenge their 1-0 defeat to South Africa in their first game in the competition.

The Nigerian ladies are yet to concede in open play in the tournament following the defeat to South Africa, edging out the Shepolopolo of Zambia and Nzalang Nacional of Equatorial Guinea 4-0 and 6-0 respectively in their remaining two group games.

The Falcons edged out the Indomitable Lionesses of Cameroon 4-2 on penalties to book a spot in the final.
