NFF hails Nnadozie's historic Ballon d'Or achievement

The Nigeria Football Federation has congratulated Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie on her remarkable achievement at the 2025 Ballon d'Or awards, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nnadozie made history by becoming the first Nigerian to be nominated for the prestigious award, finishing fourth in the women's Goalkeeper of the Year category.

The award was won by Chelsea and England goalkeeper Hannah Hampton, who played a crucial role in England's Euro 2025 triumph.

The federation take pride in Nnadozie's achievement, stating that the federation is confident she will win the award in the near future.

Nnadozie's nomination is a testament to her outstanding performances for both club and country, including her instrumental role in Nigeria's record-extending 10th WAFCON title, where she was named Best Goalkeeper and selected to the Team of the Tournament.

She also played a key role in Paris FC's Coupe de France victory, saving two penalties in a dramatic shootout win over Paris Saint-Germain.

Nnadozie has recently joined Brighton & Hove Albion after a stellar stint with Paris FC.
