Vice President of the Nigeria Football Federation Barrister Sheyi Akinwunmi says the Federation is delighted with the prospect of the Super Eagles despite been knocked out of the race to qualify for the 2017 AFCON in Gabon.

The FA’s Vice President identified youth as the strength of the team and also giving it a likely edge in the future as the rebuilding project is taking shape.

Reacting to the team’s defeat to seven-time Africa champions, Egypt, Akinwunmi said the FA will not point fingers not trade blames. And disclosed that the executive board of the NFF will next week meet with the Minister of Sports to discuss a wide range of issues including the Super Eagles and the next phase of action.
