Newcastle United are prepared to sell 27-year-old English midfielder Joe Willock during the January transfer window rather than risk losing him for nothing at the end of the season.
According to transfer insider Ekrem Konur on social media, the club’s hierarchy does not intend to extend Willock’s contract. His current agreement with Newcastle United expires when the season ends.
The Magpies are therefore planning to transfer the midfielder in January, with Turkish club Besiktas among the teams reportedly interested in signing him.
Willock has made five Premier League appearances this season and has scored two goals.
