Wayne Rooney is probably on the verge of losing the England captaincy, having been photographed in a drunken stupor, and now "?The Sun are reporting that Newcastle forward Dwight Gayle got four teeth knocked out of his kisser.
Gayle, who moved over from Crystal Palace for £10m during the summer, was on a night out in Liverpool, celebrating Jamaal Lascelles' 23rd birthday, incidentally on the same night Rooney and co. were getting their drink on.
The report claims that, around 4am, the former Eagles man was discussing his £35k-a-week pay and that apparently rubbed someone the wrong way. The individual proceeded to strike the striker twice, knocking him out cold.
"The night had started fine, but the champagne was flowing and things got out of hand," a source said.

"One lad took exception to Dwight talking about his pay and took a swing at him. It was a real shock.
"He hit him hard and, as Dwight went down, hit him again. He was out cold.
"Everyone was in shock. Dwight was texting people the next day saying he'd lost four teeth. He was really angry."?
Merseyside Police said they received a report of two men fighting, but when they arrived, no one was around. Gayle has since had his grill repaired, but made no report of the assault.
