The Belgian club of Nigeria international Wilfred Ndidi, KRC Genk, have qualified for next season’s UEFA Europa League after they smashed past Charleroi 5-1 Sunday to win the passage 5-3 on aggregate.
Genk lost the first leg 2-0 on Thursday, but they turned on the style on Sunday to reverse the table and qualify for the Europa.
Tanzania striker Mbwana Samatta was among the goal scorers for Genk.
Defender-turned-defensive midfielder Ndidi played the entire game but was booked five minutes from time.
The former Nath Boys of Lagos star can now join the Eagles squad in Luxembourg City for Tuesday friendly against the home team after he could not be in France as a result of these playoffs.
