Ndidi in demand as Everton plot summer move

Premier League club Everton are weighing up a summer move for Wilfred Ndidi, whose contract with Leicester City expires at the end of June, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Leicester City announced talks with Ndidi over a new contract on Friday, but Everton are keen to sign the Nigeria international on a free transfer, according to TEAMtalk.

Ndidi, who scored six goals and provided six assists in 36 appearances last season, is also wanted by Spanish clubs Real Sociedad and Sevilla.

The 27-year-old played a key role in Leicester City's promotion to the Premier League, and his future is likely to be a major talking point this summer.

Everton's interest in Ndidi comes as they look to bolster their squad for next season, with the midfielder seen as a potential replacement for Amadou Onana, who has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park.

Ndidi's impressive form last season has made him a hot property, and Leicester City may struggle to keep hold of him as he enters the final weeks of his contract.
