NATIONS - Denmark captain Kjaer and team medics wins UEFA award

For their efforts in preserving Christian Eriksen's life, Simon Kjaer and numerous medical authorities have been awarded the UEFA President's Award for 2021.

Eriksen went into cardiac arrest during Denmark's Euro 2020 opener against Finland, and Kjaer and the stadium's medical personnel acted immediately to assist revive him on the field.

Kjaer assisted in the start of CPR on the field, and Danish medical personnel joined the on-site crew to conduct more and deploy a defibrillator to resuscitate the 29-year-old.

"Eriksen is doing well and is in excellent physical and mental shape", according to his team Inter, and it is reported that the player visited the team earlier this month during training.
