Nathan Tella shines in Bayer Leverkusen's comeback against

Bayer 04 Leverkusen remain on track to dethrone Bayern Munich to the Bundesliga title this reason all thanks to Nathan Tella timely assist in the closing minutes of the game against Hoffenheim to complete a 2:1 victory at home, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Despite having over thirty attempts on goal, the home team was unable to equalize after going down in the 33rd minute due to a combination of poor finishing and an outstanding display from Baumann in the Hoffenheim goal.

However, like they have done repeatedly this season, Leverkusen pushed their opponent's goal persistently, and in the 88th minute, it paid off as Jonathan Tah headed Wirtz's cross to the back post back into the danger area and Robert Andrich volleyed the ball home.

The turnaround was finished in stoppage time, but the hosts weren't done yet, as Patrik Schick was in the right spot at the right moment to latch onto Nathan Tella's cross and earn a 23rd victory.

Bayer 04 Leverkusen now have 73 points to their name, equaling their club record from the 1999-2000 campaign. Leverkusen already have collected more points than last season's champion FC Bayern (71 points in 2022-23).
