Nasarawa United and El Kanemi Warriors have returned to top flight football following their top finish in the Northern Conference of the Nigeria National League Super Eight playoffs, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.
The Solid Miners secured 9 points out of 9, beating El Kanemi Warriors, Sokoto United and Sporting Supreme to top the group and secure return to the Nigeria Premier Football League.
They defeated Sporting Supreme 2-0 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium, Enugu courtesy of goals from Musa Musa on 6 minute and Adamu Hassan on 82 minute.
United had achieved 2-1 wins over Sporting Supreme and Sokoto United respectively in the first and second match respectively.
El Kanemi Warriors for their part, earned a 4-1 win over Sokoto United on Wednesday at the University of Nigeria Sporting Complex to garner six points after a first match loss to Nasarawa United.
The Warriors won their second match 2-1 against Sporting Supreme.
