Nasarawa United head coach, Kabir Dogo has described as a dream come true his side’s continental ticket in the out gone league season.

The Lafia outfit finished the season on third spot on 63 points seven points behind champions, Enyimba and will represent the country in the Caf Confederation Cup.

Dogo said the side will not add to the numbers but compete favourably when football hostilities commence next year.

“The continental ticket is something we have been looking for a long time and we are happy to nip the ticket this time around.

“We narrowly missed the ticket last season but thank God we were able to make amend in a season nobody gave us a chance to succeed.

“Nasarawa United have been there some years back, management knows what is at stake and what it takes to be at the continent.

“We have players that can do it for us at the continent, we do not need too many recruits just few experienced players and the team will be good to go.

“With adequate and good preparations the team will go places in the continent,” said the former ABS coach to supersport.com.

Dogo commended the management, coaching crew members, players, government, supporters, among others for the clubs success in the out gone league season.

The Solid Miners will be joined in the Caf Confederation Cup campaign by the winners of Sunday’s Federation Cup final clash between Akwa United and Lobi Stars in Lagos.
