After joining up with the Italy squad on Sunday evening after the Genoa match, Alex Meret underwent diagnostic tests today which revealed a transverse process fracture of the third and fourth lumbar vertebrae.
The player will return to Naples on Friday morning to continue his rehabilitation process.
