Jose Mourinho has been unable to resolve reported tensions within Real Madrid since taking over as head coach, according to The Touchline, citing RMC Sport.
The atmosphere inside the squad has been described as “ice-cold”, with several players continuing to have strained relationships with one another.
Mourinho has also failed to repair a situation that existed during the respective periods of Xabi Alonso and Alvaro Arbeloa. The report does not identify the players involved.
Tension is said to have increased further following Kylian Mbappe’s recent behaviour away from the pitch. Mourinho is reported to have spoken to the France forward personally, asking him to show greater restraint.
Real Madrid’s next La Liga match is scheduled for 10 October, when they will face Villarreal.
