Chelsea coach, Jose Mourinho, has left out Ghana defender Baba Rahman from the squad that faces West Bromwich Albion this afternoon at The  Hawthorns Park.

Baba Rahman who is the only natural left back in the current Chelsea setup was expected to make the mark after many expected him to break instantly into the team.

Jose Mourinho earlier hinted that Baba Rahman could start the game after admitting that his signing  will bring competition into the team as both Azpilicueta and Ivanovic will be provided with the needed competition by the Ghanaian.

Baba Rahman who was Ghana's second most consistent player in Europe  last season signed  for the Blues a few weeks ago after a fantastic start with Ausgburg in the German Bundesliga but the Chelsea manager has failed to name him in the game against West Bromwich.

Chelsea will be chasing their first win of the season after losing by 3-0 to title rivals Manchester City with an earlier two all draw against Swansea City.
