Kylian Mbappe is expected to recover in time for Real Madrid’s next game despite suffering an injury while on international duty with France.
However, according to AS, head coach Jose Mourinho is considering leaving the forward out of Saturday’s match against Villarreal, with a plan being prepared to give him a rest.
Real Madrid have several options for replacing Mbappe in attack. Carlos Espi could lead the line, while Jude Bellingham may operate as a false nine.
Mourinho could also respond by changing the team’s formation altogether.
