Moses Simon's summer FC Nantes exit on the cards

Published on: 05 May 2025

Ligue 1 outfit FC Nantes could lose one of their longest-serving key players in Moses Simon in the summer, with a host of top clubs on red alert as he enters into the final year of his contract, which would expire in 2026, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

As initially reported by Livefoot, the club is willing to part ways with the Nigerian international, and to secure the departure of their 29-year-old player, they have reportedly set a €10 million transfer fee.

This asking price represents a substantial return on their initial investment, doubling the €5 million they paid to acquire the player five years prior. Interestingly, the cited fee is also slightly below the player's estimated market value of €12 million, as suggested by Transfermarkt.

OGC Nice, Marseille are all said to have registered keen interest, with Trabzonspor the latest team to join the chase. Ultimately, Simon would have to make the final decision with a mutual desire to exit undeniable.
