Morrison admits to tough prep

Published on: 07 November 2018

Cardiff City skipper Sean Morrison has admitted it will be tough, but his side must focus on getting the three points against Leicester City on Saturday.

Leicester chairman Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was just one of five people who died after a helicopter crash outside the King Power Stadium last weekend.

Condolences have been pouring in from the Cardiff camp to their Leicester counterparts ahead of the teams' meeting in the Premier League on Saturday.

Morrison is fully aware of the circumstances surrounding the game but knows his side have a job to do, as they look to avoid the drop back down to the Championship this season.

"For Leicester it's been an extremely difficult week and we try to prepare as normal, but when something like this happens you stop and think and shows the importance of life. Sometimes football has to take a back-seat. We've just tried to prepare as best we can, try to get on with it as normal," he told reporters.

"Of course. We try and keep spirits high and be respectful in the game. We've got to try and focus on the job in hand, as difficult as that may be. We're not sure what to expect until the whistle starts."

Cardiff are 12/5 to win, 12/5 to draw and 13/10 to lose to the Foxes in South Wales.
