The Super Eagles of Nigeria will commence their bid to qualify for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with an away match against Libya, Nigeriasoccernet.com reports.

Nigeria in Group D was drawn alongside Libya, Benin Republic, and Rwanda on Thursday.

The first two match days are scheduled to take place between September 2 and 10, with the remaining qualifiers set for October and November.

The Super Eagles earlier in June  faced the Squirrels of Benin in a 206 FIFA World Cup qualifiers losing 2-1.

The top two teams in Group D will secure a spot in the 2025 AFCON finals, which will be hosted in Morocco from December 21, 2025, to January 18, 2026.

The Super Eagles will aim to navigate the qualifiers and book their place in the continental tournament.
