Mohamed Salah has carried his creative influence into a new chapter of his career, with the Trabzonspor forward ranked third among the world’s leading providers of assists since 2020.
The Egypt international has already scored four goals in five Turkish league appearances, underlining the finishing ability for which he is best known. But data from PopFoot also places him among the most productive creators in modern football.
Salah has recorded 100 assists in 343 matches over the period, giving him an average of 0.29 assists per game. That record puts the former Liverpool star on the podium of the global ranking.
Salah the only African player in the top 10
Salah occupies third place, behind Bruno Fernandes and Kevin De Bruyne. Manchester United midfielder Fernandes leads the list with 121 assists in 385 matches, while De Bruyne is second after registering 105 assists in 276 games.
The 34-year-old is the only player from Africa to feature in the top 10. His position also places him ahead of several of the game’s most prominent attacking and midfield players.
Kylian Mbappe is fourth, with 95 assists in 365 matches, while Joshua Kimmich and Vinicius Jr are also among the players below Salah in the ranking.
The Egyptian has continued that form since moving to Trabzonspor. He has already supplied one assist in Turkey and has made seven appearances for the club in all competitions.
Salah is currently valued at 22 million euros and has a contract with Trabzonspor running until 2028. The forward, who was born in Nagrig, joined the club this summer and has quickly become one of its leading players.
Trabzonspor’s next fixture will be against Galatasaray in the sixth round of the Turkish league.
