Kevin Durant's presence was all it needed for the Philadelphia Union to earn their greatest win of the season.
The NBA star, who owns an ownership stake in the Union, was in attendance at Subaru Park on Wednesday night to witness the Union's 1-0 victory over New York City FC and afterwards greeted fans of the team.
Head coach Curtin stated after the game, “He's a terrific person, first and foremost, and a great owner, and he's made a point of speaking with every one of our players before the game to wish them luck. When the best basketball player on the globe is in the building — sorry, LeBron — it adds a little bit extra.”
The Brooklyn Nets star purchased a five per cent ownership stake in the Union last June.
